Entry Instructions
Schools will nominate a team of 3 poets from grade 11 and 12 for the Slam.
Participating students must have an original poem to perform and also work on a group poem for the final round.
Individual poems should not exceed 3 minutes and group poems must not exceed 5 minutes.
Schools must complete registration protocol by the 30th of September, 2017.
Judges will be local poets, educators and literature lovers. Judges will not be affiliated with any of the participating schools. The main criteria that poets will be judges on are: content, poetic conventions, memorization and overall delivery.
